First Communion

First Communion Program 2010

First Communion is for children who are in grade two or older. 

 Sacramental Registration for First Communion can take place at the following times and places:

• Parish Office Monday - Friday;  9:30 am - 4:00 pm ( closed during lunch 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm)
  

• Online Registration

If your child was baptized at Holy Name Parish please complete the Baptism information on the registration form. We will not require a copy of Holy Name's Baptism Certificate. If he / she was baptized elsewhere we will need a copy of the Baptism Certificate. Please attach an english translation if the certificate is not in english. The copy(ies) can be handed in with registration or faxed to us at 403-249-9952 / atten. Linda Hengen

A $20.00 sacrament fee, covering the cost of materials will be collected at registration. Payable in cash or cheque to Holy Name Parish. Thank-you.

Parent Session at Church Hall (please attend one of the following meetings)

• Wednesday, March 24 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm
•  Monday, April 12 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm
  

First Communion Classes (please choose one of the two class schedules)

• Wednesday's  at 6:30 - 7:30 pm / Holy Name Church Hall
    Dates: April 14, 21, 28  / May 5
  
  
• Saturdays at  4:00 pm - 5:00 pm / Holy Name Church Hall
    Dates: April 17, 24,  / May 1, 8
  

First Communion Retreat:

• Saturday, May 15
  

Children can begin to receive 1st Communion May 22 of 2010. Please review the following sign up sheet and email your Mass choice.  The sheet will be available during registration and families can choose which Mass they would like their child to receive their first communion (space will be limited to 6  - 8 children per Mass). Please note that names will only be scheduled upon receiving a registration form.
